Mercedes F700 Update: REAR

Ok, so here's the rear end finished with the same points as mentioned earlier:

1. Larger wheels and tires
2. Rear end lift - From the character line under trunk and lights upward.
3. Rear lights lifted and angled - added directionality.
4. DLO was shortened and lifted slightly adding stability to the C-Pillar.
5. Rocker panel angled downward like in front view.

Again, you'll notice how much the car has changed just by adding larger wheels/wider tires, lifting up the rear end and making the rear lights more directional and dynamic.

I really am curious to know why they have small rear wheels and narrow tires back there? They may not be that small but the theme of the car is overpowering the wheels. Is this simply to have the wheel cover function? Or is it more of a packaging situation to make the interior concept function properly. Either way, as a concept I still believe it should be the purest form of the idea. Generally, it will get diluted a bit so go nuts when you can! I saw some better models and sketches in the studio photos...

Great improvements. Now the car has some thrust. It doesn't feel like the back of the car is falling off anymore. Nice job.

Even if there were some packaging compromises for the areas you mentioned, it doesn't negate the fact that there were a lot of mistakes made in the basic proportions and gesture of the car, before we even start looking at some of the packaging constraints.
