BMW Z4 Coupe
Now that I have a venue, I'd like to add some thoughts about the Z4. Ever since it debuted, there's been a few things I wish I could change (especially on the roadster). Of course the best option would be to have the clay model in front of me. Since that isn't going to happen, I'll just have to do it with pictures. Unfortunately this limits how much I can do with overall proportions without doing a full on rendering. Overall, I think the Z4 is a well done car - but only forward of the B-Pillar. The back has always been too short and abrupt for me. Again, this would take a major change which I won't do here. Check out the comparison images above (click to enlarge) and let me know what you think and see if you can pick out the 4 changes in the side view (the larger rims is not one of them).

I spy a longer rear overhang, different taillamps, removal of the slash behind the front wheel, and the character line that flows from the roof and follows the backlight, instead of just coming off the decklid and fading out.
All nice touches, though I've always kind of liked the short rear overhang and squatty back end.
