Ferrari California
Recently, Ferrari released images of its new California production car. This should be a great boost to the Ferrari brand and allow for a great deal of additional volume. Do I think it retains the exclusivity of the brand? Well, not exactly. But a benefit is that this should be a great car for the money - probably the best. This will show that Ferrari is not only able to make great cars at a high cost, but also great cars at a very competitive price. It will give them a market similar to BMW's but at a higher level. This will ensure their competitive edge and solidify their image as "THE " car to have.
As far as design goes, It's bland enough to appeal to all the mildly wealthy people that will buy it. Is it a great design? Not really. But as I mentioned above, it doesn't really matter. It'll sell like hot cakes and that may be the only thing Ferrari was worried about. Will it be a collector? I doubt it unless they feature it in a new version of Magnum P.I.
I made some initial comments (click to view larger) and will follow these up with suggestions for making it more dynamic.
